Dave Hussey
Colorist

Dave Hussey is one of the founding members of Company 3. His artistry as a colorist has earned him a large client base that spans the globe. He has worked on some of the most iconic music videos ever made, which include Michael Jackson's Black or White and Lady Gaga's Bad Romance to name a few. At the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), Dave graded videos that won 12 of the 14 VMA categories. Some of his feature DI work includes Francis Lawrence's Constantine, Marc Webb's breakout hit 500 Days of Summer and this year’s Just Wright for Fox Searchlight, directed by Sanaa Hamri.
His career in color grading, which spans over 25 years, has earned him four MVPA awards, two Master Colorist Awards and an HPA award for Best Commercial Color Timing. His current commercial projects include We Carry for Chevrolet (Campbell Ewald), which is also currently nominated for a 2010 HPA award, Town Hall for Cisco (Ogilvy & Mather), featuring Ellen Page and Epic PlayStation 3 (Deutsch LA).
Dave started his career at Magnetic North in Toronto in 1983. He moved to LA in 1990 to work at the Post Group in Hollywood and then helped found Company 3 in 1997.
