Jimmy Tom
Colorist
Jimmy Tom joined Company 3 in 1997. Since coming onboard, Tom has immersed in the word of Digital Intermediate (DI) and is involved in ever aspect of the process. Using his keen eye, he colors feature films, dailies and trailers, commercial spots and video deliverables (panning and scanning).
Deliver Us From Evil, a documentary he co-colored with Rajiv Bedi, won Best Documentary honors at the 2006 Los Angeles Film Festival and was also nominated for a Best Documentary Feature Academy Award. Another documentary feature he worked on, Visual Acoustics, won multiple awards including the Mercedes-Benz Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Prior to Company 3, Tom colored a variety of short form, commercial and music video projects at Pacific Ocean Post (POP). He got his start in the industry as a telecine assistant at Digital Magic while simultaneously working full time at a dental bleaching company.
